On 27 August 2025, the ACCC issued a draft determination proposing to grant authorisation to 1Circle Pty Ltd for it and the future members of 5 renewable energy buying groups, to be established between 2025 and 2029, to collectively procure and give effect to long term renewable electricity supply contracts which include an equivalent quantity of large-scale generation certificates. The ACCC proposes to grant authorisation for a period of 15 years.
