The ACCC has granted interim authorisation in respect of application for authorisation AA1000700, lodged by 1circle Pty Ltd on behalf of itself and the members of the business renewables buying groups (together, Applicants) on 20 May 2025. The Applicants seek authorisation to establish 5 consecutive renewable electricity buying groups, one each year from 2025 to 2029.
Interim authorisation enables the Applicants to initiate the joint renewable electricity procurement process for the 2025 buying group. However, interim authorisation does not extend to the 2025 buying group members entering into agreements with suppliers of electricity services.
