The ACCC has issued a final determination granting authorisation to Tabcorp VIC Pty Ltd (Tabcorp) to extend its agreement with Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) concerning RWWA’s participation in the SuperTAB totalisator pool. Authorisation was previously granted to another entity in the Tabcorp Group in 2012, and re-authorised in 2016. Tabcorp was granted the new Victorian Wagering and Betting Licence for 20 years on 16 August 2024, under which it offers totalisator and other forms of wagering on racing and approved sporting and other events. RWWA provides a variety of wagering products in Western Australia, and (amongst other roles and responsibilities) makes rules for the conduct of racing in Western Australia.
For the reasons outlined in the final determination, the ACCC has decided to grant authorisation for 2 years.
Further information on the final determination is available on the ACCC’s public register at: Tabcorp VIC Pty Ltd.
