The ACCC does not object to the collective bargaining notification CB10000493 lodged by Toowoomba City Council Community Aerodrome Incorporated (TCCAI). TCCAI lodged the notification on behalf of a group of tenants (the Tenants) at the Toowoomba City Aerodrome (the Aerodrome). The notification enables TCCAI to negotiate on behalf of the Tenants with the operator of the Aerodrome, Toowoomba Regional Council (the Council) regarding common lease terms in relation to the Aerodrome hangar lease agreements. Participation in the notified conduct is voluntary.

The ACCC is satisfied that the notified collective negotiations are likely to result in public benefits in the form of reduced overall transaction costs for Tenants and the Council, as well as increasing the likelihood that the terms negotiated are more favourable and reflect the Aerodrome’s operating costs. There is likely to be minimal, if any, public detriment.

The ACCC has decided not to object to the notification and legal protection will remain in force until 7 October 2034, unless revoked or withdrawn. Further information is available on the ACCC's public register at: Toowoomba City Community Airport Inc
