On 8 October 2025, the ACCC granted authorisation to 1Circle Pty Ltd, for it and the future members of 5 renewable energy buying groups, established over 5 years, to collectively procure and give effect to long term renewable electricity supply contracts which include an equivalent quantity of large-scale generation certificates.
The ACCC considers that the authorised conduct is likely to result in minimal, if any, public detriments and that these are outweighed by the associated public benefits.
The ACCC has decided to grant authorisation until 30 October 2040.
