Exemption for EnergyAustralia Pty Ltd

On 4 May 2023, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted an exemption under section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) to EnergyAustralia Pty Ltd deferring its consumer data sharing obligations for closed accounts held on its “On” and “Ignition” customer management systems until 23 June 2024. The ACCC granted the exemption in response to an application from EnergyAustralia Pty Ltd.
