The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission today issued a discussion paper inviting comment from interested parties in relation to the revised structural separation undertaking submitted by Telstra on 9 December 2011.

The ACCC is seeking submissions on the appropriateness and effectiveness of the interim equivalence and transparency measures, and the monitoring of compliance measures in Telstra's revised undertaking.

Interested parties are requested to make submissions as soon as possible and by no later than 5 pm on Friday 13 January 2012.

The ACCC does not propose to issue a draft decision prior to making a final decision on the undertaking, which it intends to make in February 2012.
