The take up of broadband services is at 1.3 million, according to the latest Australian Competition and Consumer Commission Snapshot of Broadband Deployment issued today.

"The report shows that as at the end of September 2004, there were 1,310,300 broadband services connected across Australia", ACCC Chairman, Mr Graeme Samuel, said.

"699,500 services were connected over the past 12 months", he said. "This represents an increase of 114.5 per cent on the September 2003 figure of 610,800".
