Organisation name

Equal Opportunity Commission (EOC), SA

Description

The Equal Opportunity Commission provides three main services in South Australia:information, education and assessing and resolving complaints We provide education and training to individuals, organisations and businesses to create a better understanding of EO laws. This helps people understand how to prevent problems and respond to problems if they arise. Our complaint handlers assist people to reach an agreement if a complaint of discrimination or harassment is made. We do not act as advocates. Our aim is to bring people together to try to resolve the complaint. If a complaint cannot be resolved, it may be referred to the Equal Opportunity Tribunal.
