ACCC's preliminary view

On 16 May 2011, Australia Post provided a revised proposal which reduced the size of the proposed price increases for certain Off Peak services. Under the revised proposal, the average price increase for Off Peak would be 0.9 cents (GST exc).

On 27 May 2011, the ACCC released its preliminary view on Australia Post's proposed price increases. The ACCC's preliminary view is to not object to Australia Post's revised proposal submitted on 16 May 2011.

The ACCC is seeking comments from interested parties on the preliminary view. The closing date for submissions in response to the preliminary view is close of business Tuesday 14 June 2011.
