Assessing cross-subsidy in Australia Post 2009-10

Date published: 7th April 2011

This report presents the results of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s (ACCC’s) analysis of Australia Post’s regulatory accounts for the 2009–10 financial year to determine whether it cross‑subsidised its non‑reserved services with revenue from its reserved services. Reserved services are those services in which Australia Post has a statutory monopoly; non‑reserved services are services it provides in competition with other businesses.
