Australian Interactive Multimedia Industry Association

AIMIA is the peak body for the multimedia and IT industry. Established in 1992, it has cemented its place as the organisation to represent the industry to all levels of government and business. AIMIA Victoria is the state chapter of the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association. Our focus is on nurturing Victorian creative and entrepreneurial excellence, and in supporting interactive media practitioners, students, start-ups, businesses, initiatives and organisations. AIMIA Victoria plays an important role as a conduit between the interactive media industry and other industries, business, media, education, government and the public. Goals: • to foster Victoria’s reputation as the hub of interactive media innovation in Australia • to contribute to the growth and ongoing economic viability of the industry • to raise the profile of Victoria’s interactive media industry and represent it to business, media, education, government, the public and the rest of the nation. Services: • to provide topical, relevant and forward-thinking events and networking opportunities • to provide in-kind and financial contribution to industry events and initiatives • to promote industry by acting as go-to body for media, business, public, education and government • to lobby state government on issues relevant to the industry • to facilitate internships, mentorships and training
