On 1 April 2010, Australia Post provided a price notification proposing an increase in the basic postage rate (BPR) from 55 cents to 60 cents on June 28 2010. In this price notification Australia Post also proposed increases to the prices of other Large and Small letters, including PreSort mail.
The ACCC released an issues paper seeking submissions from interested parties on Australia Post's proposal on 13 April 2010.
The ACCC has decided to not object to the price increases in Australia Post's price notification.
