Estimated dates for the recruitment process for the 2013 graduate program are:
6 March 2012: Applications open
6 May 2012: Applications close
May 2012: Candidates selected for Assessment Centres
May / June 2012: Assessment Centres (and interviews) conducted in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney
June / July 2012: First round offers
August 2012: Second round offers
February 2013: Graduate program commences with a week of orientation in Canberra

Graduate applications
Applications usually open in March each year and require submission of:

Assessment Centres
Assessment Centres will be run in the ACCC offices and include individual and group exercises to assess a range of candidate strengths, such as teamwork and presentation skills. Candidates will also attend an panel interview of three to four ACCC staff.
Selection
The selection committee will assess candidate applications, qualifications, experience, performance during the Assessment Centre and interview process. The committee will then rank interviewed candidates nationally according to relative merit to create a final shortlist.
Offers
Successful candidates will be sent a formal offer to join the program in September. Subsequent offers may be made at any time before the commencement of the program in February.
Eligibility for the program
Qualifications
ACCC graduates must have recently completed at minimum a qualification equivalent to a three-year Australian undergraduate degree or expect to complete this in the year of their application. Completion of your most recent university qualification must have occurred within the last three years.
Australian citizenship
If you are not currently an Australian citizen, this may restrict your ability to secure a position on our graduate program. Generally, ongoing employees of the Australian Public Service are required to be Australian citizens.
Availability
Successful candidates must be available to start in February and attend our one-week intensive orientation program in Canberra.
