On 30 November 2009 and 11 December 2009, the Casuarina All Sports Club Inc, on behalf of the Casuarina Business Precinct Stakeholders Committee, applied for authorisation of an agreement between businesses in the Casuarina Business Precinct in Darwin, known as the proposed liquor accord. The liquor licensees on the Committee are the Casuarina All Sports Club Inc, GPT Group, The Village Shopping Centre, Coles Liquor and Woolworths Limited.
Among other measures, the proposed liquor accord includes restrictions on the supply of certain types of alcohol products to consumers.
On 12 May 2010 the ACCC issued a final determination granting conditional authorisation until 3 June 2013.
