Summary
On 28 July 2009 the Australian Newsagents Federation (ANF) applied for authorisation to collectively bargain with newspaper publishers and magazine publishers and distributors on behalf of ANF members.
This application is to take account of amendments to the Trade Practices Act (Cartel Conduct) which commenced on 24 July 2009. The conduct for which authorisation is being sought under application A91174 is the same conduct that the ANF sought authorisation for under application A91134 which was granted conditional authorisation for a period of five years on 16 July 2009. On 2 September 2009 the ACCC issued a final determination granting conditional authorisation until 7 August 2014.
