On 27 August 2009, Forestry Tasmania, Tasmania Softwood Fund and Southern Hemisphere Softwood Strategies (JV Participants) applied for authorisation of the relevant provisions of a joint venture agreement and related arrangements for the planting, cultivating, harvesting, processing, marketing and selling of softwood logs in Tasmania.
Applications A91185 - A91186 were made to take account of amendments introduced by the Trade Practices Amendment (Cartel Conduct and Other Measures) Act 2009 which commenced on 24 July 2009. These applications relate to, and are in the same terms as, applications A91120 - A91122 lodged with the ACCC on 17 February 2009.
On 30 September 2009 the ACCC issued a final determination granting authorisation to the joint venture arrangements until 20 August 2019.
