ACCC calls for comment on proposed plastic packaging acquisition
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission today released a Statement of Issues on the proposed acquisition by Pact Group Pty Ltd of certain assets of Huhtamaki Australia Pty Ltd.
The Statement of Issues seeks further information on certain competition issues, which have arisen from the ACCC's market inquiries.
The ACCC invites further submissions from the market by August 28 2009. To allow for submissions in response to the statement the ACCC's final decision will be deferred until September 16 2009.
