On January the First 2011, the Trade Practices Act was renamed the Competition and Consumer Act. The Australian Consumer Law is contained in a schedule to the Competition and Consumer Act. Any reference in this program to the Trade Practices Act should be taken as a reference to the Competition and Consumer Act. All rights and obligations explained in this program continue to be relevant under the Competition and Consumer Act.
