Fonterra Brands (Australia) Pty Ltd, a dairy-products manufacturer/distributor, has notified the ACCC that it, Simplot Australia Pty Ltd and Unilever Australia Limited (the Program Partners) wish to conduct a joint `reward program', under which food-service industry businesses (for example, restaurants, pubs and take-away shops) would be given rewards by the Program Partners if they spent specified amounts on goods from two or three of the three Program Partners. The food-service industry businesses will buy the goods through middle-man distributors.
