The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's report into the petrol industry inquiry will now be presented to the Treasurer on August 15, ACCC Chairman, Professor Allan Fels, announced today.
"The ACCC has received a number of submissions and representations in the past two weeks," he said.
"In order that they be fully considered the ACCC has requested, and the Treasurer agreed to, an extension to the inquiry."
The inquiry is reviewing the present method of regulating wholesale petrol prices in Australia.
