Summary
The ACCC is responsible for developing and enforcing rules to remove barriers to water trading across the Murray-Darling Basin and give effect to the objectives of the Water Act 2007 (Cth). Once in place, the new rules should go a long way to reducing market failure that currently impedes water trading across the Basin.
