Summary
On 16 March 2009 LAAV applied for authorisation on behalf of itself and its members to negotiate the terms and conditions of retailer agreements and arrangements with Tattersall's Sweeps Pty Ltd (Tattersall's) and Intralot Australia Pty Ltd. It is intended negotiations will include such matters as commissions paid to retailers, retailer application fees, service charges, delivery charges, point of sale equipment hire costs, retail image, sales incentive schemes, product sales restrictions in the Tattersall's dedicated sale area, processes for the approval of incoming retailers, retail insurances and alterations to retailer procedure manuals.
On 3 June 2009 the ACCC issued a final determination granting authorisation for five years.
