Summary
Arrangement between present and future members of the TAB Agents' Association of New South Wales (Association) to collectively negotiate with Tabcorp (or any entity which holds the license to conduct off-course totalizator for the purposes of section 12 of the Totalizator Act), through the Association, the terms and conditions of the provision of services by members to Tabcorp including the appointment, extension or renewal of a contract or arrangement for the provision of those services, and to participate, through the Association, in the process of resolving disputes between more than one agent and Tabcorp or any successor entity which holds the license to conduct off course totalizator.
On 24 April 2009, the ACCC issued a draft determination proposing to grant authorisation in respect of the proposed arrangements for five years. The ACCC also granted the Association interim authorisation from 20 May 2009 until a final determination on the matter comes into effect.
On 26 June 2009, the ACCC issued a determination granting the Association authorisation in respect of the proposed arrangements for five years.
