Summary
Port of Townsville Ltd proposes to provide access to the Port of Townsville on condition that vessels requiring towage services engage the holder of the exclusive licence for the provision of towage service. The licence will be for five years, with an option for a further two years.
On 23 November 2011 Svitzer Australia Pty Ltd asked the ACCC to review this notification. On 8 and 9 December 2011 the ACCC called for submissions on the notification and is now reviewing them.
