Competition analysis
The ACCC formed the view that the proposed acquisition was unlikely to substantially lessen competition in the relevant market. The ACCC considered that whilst there are some barriers to entry which international entrants may face, Ingenico is likely to be constrained by the existing competing suppliers which are vigorous global competitors.
