In carrying out its adjudication functions, the ACCC assesses applications for authorisation and notification of certain anti-competitive arrangements. When such arrangements provide benefit to the public, exemptions from the competition provisions of the Trade Practices Act 1974 may be afforded.
The ACCC also assesses certification trademarks and certifies notification of export agreements.
