Consumers International (CI) is the world federation of consumer groups that, working together with its members, serves as the only independent and authoritative global voice for consumers. Founded in 1960, CI acts for all consumers in today's globalised world. Its modern movement is essential to secure a fair, safe and sustainable future for consumers in a global marketplace increasingly dominated by international corporations. As a global confederation of national consumer groups and agencies, CI supports and represents over 220 member organisations in 115 countries around the world. About two-thirds of member organisations are in developing countries, the other third in industrialised countries. CI does not handle individual consumer complaints. If you have an issue you would like to raise concerning poor quality goods or services, you should contact your national consumer organisation or your national or local government advice service.
