Description

The Office of the Workplace Rights Advocate (OWRA) is an independent statutory body established in response to the WorkChoices. The OWRA: encourages employers to develop cooperative workplace arrangements that attract and retain quality workers, provides information and advice to employers and employees about individual and collective workplace agreements under WorkChoices, investigates employment and industrial relations practices which may be illegal, unfair or inappropriate and, monitors the impact of the WorkChoices on Victorian businesses and workers
