Adding your organisation to the CBD

Generally only organisations that relate to role of the ACCC (for example consumer protection, industry regulation etc) will be listed on the CBD. Follow the steps below to add your organisation to the CBD:

  1. If your organisation is not already in the CBD, click the link "Add your organisation to ACCC's consumer & business directory".
  2. Fill in your organisation's details, make sure you complete all of the required fields.
  3. If your organisation has offices in other locations, click the button "Check CBD listings and create links" (please note, you should only create links to other offices of your organisation). The following steps list the process to link to other office locations:
    1. Search for your organisation
To search for existing records of your organisation that are already listed on the CBD, type the name of your organisation into the search field and then click the "Search" button.
    2. Create a link to records of your organisation in other locations
To create a link to another office, select the office of your organisation from the list that appears in the left hand panel below.
The contact details for the selected office will appear in the right hand panel.
Once you have confirmed that this is another office for your organisation click the "Create link" button.
DO NOT create links to other organisations - any such links will be removed by ACCC staff prior to listing your organisation on the CBD.
    3. Repeat step 2 until you have created links to all of the offices of your organisation listed in the CBD.
NOTE: if you make a mistake (for example, create a link to another organisation) click on the "Return to form" button which will return you to the main submission form.
You can then remove the link by clicking the "remove link" button that will appear beside the incorrect office/organisation.
  4. Once you have filled in all the fields click the "Submit" button.
  5. We may contact you to clarify details contained in your submission. Make sure you include your name and a contact phone number at the top of the form in case we need to contact you.
