As part of the 2007-08 state budget announced on 7 June 2007, the Tasmanian Government decided to sell Hobart International Airport Pty Limited, a subsidiary of the Tasmanian Ports Corporation Pty Limited.
The successful bidder was the Tasmanian Gateway Consortium.
