Published arbitration determinations—local carriage service (LCS)

The ACCC has decided to publish the following determinations about the terms of access to the local carriage service (LCS).

In December 2010 the ACCC decided to publish a final determination and statement of reasons in relation to a LCS access dispute. Although the Telecommunications Legislation Amendment (Competition and Consumer Safeguards) Act 2010 (CACS Act) repeals the arbitration provisions in the Trade Practices Act 1974 from 1 January 2011, the ACCC considers that publishing these documents will, amongst other things, assist the future consultation process for access determinations under the CACS Act.
