What does the Oilcode say about terminal gate pricing?

On 1 March 2007 the Australian Government implemented the Trade Practices (Industry Codes—Oilcode) Regulations 2006 (the Oilcode) as part of a reform of the downstream petroleum industry.

Terminal gate prices under the Oilcode

The terminal gate prices provisions of the Oilcode apply to:

  • all wholesale suppliers and
  • sales of declared petroleum products by a wholesale supplier to a customer.
