Optus’s mobile terminating access service undertaking (February 2007)

On 16 February 2007 Optus lodged an ordinary access undertaking (Optus 2007 Undertaking) with the ACCC about the mobile terminating access service (MTAS).

The Optus 2007 Undertaking specifies certain terms and conditions upon which Optus undertook to supply its domestic GSM terminating access service (DGTAS). It includes a service description, and specifies Optus's proposed pricing for the service for the period 1 July 2007 to 31 December 2007 inclusive.

On 7 March 2007 the ACCC released a discussion paper on the Optus 2007 Undertaking.

The ACCC also issued a commercial-in-confidence version of the draft decision to Optus relating to Optus information provided in a previous MTAS undertaking process.

Extension of the Commission’s final decision on the Optus 2007 Undertaking

On 29 August 2007 the ACCC, pursuant to section 152BU(7) of the Trade Practices Act 1974, extended the decision-making period for the assessment of the undertaking until 13 December 2007 by way of written notice to Optus. Pursuant to section 152BU(8), the notice extending the decision-making period is available below.

On 28 November 2007, the ACCC issued its final decision on the Optus 2007 undertaking. A public version of the decision is available below.
