In carrying out its adjudication functions the ACCC assesses applications for authorisation and notification of certain anti-competitive arrangements. When such arrangements provide benefit to the public, exemptions from the competition provisions of the Trade Practices Act may be afforded.
The ACCC also assesses certification trade marks and certifies notification of export agreements.
