Misleading job and business opportunity adverts—how to handle them
A manual produced in cooperation with Job Watch and the Australian Publisher's Bureau. It has been designed to help advertising staff of newspapers, websites and other places where job advertisements are found, to stop the publishing of misleading job and business opportunity ads. The manual provides examples of advertisements that might contravene the Trade Practices Act, a checklist to assess different advertisements and a contact list.
The ACCC's container stevedoring monitoring program operates under a direction from the Federal Treasurer in accordance with Part VIIA of the Trade Practices Act . It monitors prices, costs and profits of container terminal operator companies at the ports of Adelaide, Brisbane, Burnie, Fremantle, Melbourne and Sydney.
