Businesses able to make environmental claims have a powerful tool for winning sales. But this will only last as long as consumers are confident that the claims being made are true. It is not the job of the ACCC to rule on the worth of one set of environmental claims over another. But where those claims breach the Trade Practices Act, we will intervene.
