Regulating competition in the mobile telecommunications market

Summary

It’s clear that since deregulation we have come a long way – we have much better services, cheaper prices, and, certainly in mobile services, there are signs that effective competition is emerging. But what is just as clear is that in some areas of mobile telecommunications, such as terminating access services, regulatory intervention is necessary to promote further competition.
