Each year, the ACCC is required to report to the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy on changes in the prices paid for telecommunications services in Australia. This report is a legislative requirement under s 151CM(1)(a) in Division 12 of Part XIB of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
The Division 12 Record-Keeping Rule (RKR) was issued in December 2004 to enable the ACCC to collect information from service providers specified in the RKR for this purpose.
