ACCC Regulatory Conference 2005

The sixth ACCC regulatory conference was held on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 July 2005. The theme of the conference was the relationship between essential facilities and downstream markets.

International speakers included:

  • Professor John Mayo, McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University
  • Dr Russell Pittman, Antitrust Division, Department of Justice, United States.

  • Economics of sabotage and vertical integration
  • Content and infrastructure in telecommunications
  • Efficient capacity expansion in rail transport bottlenecks
  • Access to water and waste infrastructure
  • Development of downstream competition in energy markets.
