Distilling salient lessons from the complaints received by the ACCC

3rd December 2004

Conference

Law & Finance Pty Ltd Trade Practices Compliance Sydney

Summary

Complaint handling is an important part of the ACCC’s function of ensuring compliance with the Trade Practices Act. In addition to assisting individual complainants, the ACCC relies on complaints to obtain information about standards of conduct by business. This allows the ACCC to determine its priorities in undertaking enforcement action.
