Part of the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development, Industrial Relations Victoria monitors industrial relations in the State's public and private sectors. IRV supports Victoria's competitive business environment through a strategic approach to industrial relations that seeks to build high performing workplaces and minimise the impact of industrial disputes. Specific strategies include supporting and protecting vulnerable workers, fostering cooperative and sustainable approaches to employee relations and taking a leadership role on emerging industrial relations issues.
