The ACCC has an information line available to business and consumers to explain your rights and obligations under the legislation, and how we are likely to react to particular business practices.
The information line phone number is 1300 302 502 (Australian callers) or + 612 6243 1305 (overseas callers) or contact us using one of the forms which can be found below under 'Electronic complaints and inquiries'.
Staff are available during usual office hours. If they cannot help they will usually suggest the appropriate government department or agency to contact or other options that may be available. We cannot give legal advice and recommend that a solicitor is the most appropriate person from whom to seek such advice.
Users who are deaf or have a hearing or speech impairment can phone through the National Relay Service:
TTY users phone 133 677 then ask for 1300 302 502
Speak and Listen users phone 1300 555 727 and ask for 1300 302 502
Internet relay users connect to the NRS (see www.relayservice.com.au) and ask for 1300 302 502.
The ACCC referral guide will help you refer complaints to the ACCC as part of its campaign focussing on commercial and business practices that target or exploit disadvantaged and vulnerable consumers.
You can make a complaint or inquiry electronically. Below you will find a collection of form and email links which are directed to different parts of our organisation. You can direct emails through the general complaints and inquiry forms.
Under section 15 of the FOI Act, any person is entitled to apply for access to documents in the Commission's possession.
