The All Australian Owned Fruit Juice Company Pty Ltd (the Company) has provided a section 87B Undertaking to the ACCC in relation to representations appearing on the labelling of five varieties of fruit juice products supplied by the Company. The ACCC considered the labelling to be false or misleading in relation to the composition, place of origin and characteristics of those products and, as such, contravened sections 52, 53(a), 53(eb) and 55 of the Trade Practices Act 1974.
The Company has amended its labels and has undertaken not to repeat the conduct of concern and to implement a trade practices compliance program.
