Section 152ALA of the Trade Practices Act 1974 known as the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 from 1 January 2011, enables the ACCC to revoke a declaration following a public inquiry. Services that the ACCC considers to be of minor importance can be revoked without a public inquiry (see section 152AO).
