Infocentre

The Infocentre is a telephone and email information and complaints service for consumers and businesses. It is the initial response centre for all inquiries and complaints to the Commission on competition and consumer issues in Australia.

ACCC Infocentre staff are available to answer your call during normal business hours.

  • ACCC Infocentre: 1300 302 502
  • ACCC Indigenous Infoline: 1300 303 143
  • Translating and Interpreting Service for information in languages other than English: call 131 450 and ask for 1300 302 502
  • TTY Service for people with hearing or speech difficulties: 1300 303 609.

You can also email the Infocentre via the complaint and inquiry forms.

Typical consumer issues dealt with by the Infocentre include:

  • warranty and refund issues
  • what the ACCC can and can't do for consumers
  • problems with telecommunications services
  • misleading and deceptive conduct
  • scams
  • debt collection.
