Australian Postal Corporation price notification (Reply paid) - February 2003

In February 2003, Australia Post lodged a draft notification proposing price increases for certain Reply Paid mail services. Most Reply Paid letters fall within the category of Australia Post reserved services which are declared under the PS Act.

The proposed price increases were to be part of a proposal by Australia Post to restructure the charges for its Reply Paid mail service, entailing increases for some items and decreases for other items.

The Commission released a Preliminary View not objecting to the proposal in early March 2003. In light of general industry support for the proposed changes, the Commission released a final decision in late March 2003, not objecting to the proposed changes.
