Summit Homes allegedly misled consumers in relation to the effect of the GST on new home building contracts.

In providing the undertaking, Summit acknowledge a breach of the Act may have occurred and has implemented the following remedial actions:

• refunds of $258,000 to 111 customers;
• corrective letters sent to all affected customers; and
• a Trade Practices Compliance program.
