Telecommunications industry: ACCC role, an outline

Regulatory arrangements have been restructured to give the ACCC responsibility for competition and economic regulation of telecommunications. Technical regulation rests with the Australian Communications Authority. This publication gives an overview of the new legislative and regulatory regime, insofar as it relates to the ACCC's regulatory responsibilities.
