Paper patterns for children’s nightwear, product information a mandatory standard guide

Date published: 31st December 2000

A revised consumer product safety standard for paper patterns for children’s nightwear and limited daywear became effective on 1 November 1999. The mandatory standard aims to reduce the risk of nightwear catching fire. Compliance with consumer product safety standards is mandatory. All suppliers—including manufacturers, importers, wholesalers and retailers—of paper patterns for children’s nightwear must ensure their patterns comply with the requirements of the mandatory standard.
